Gilligan’s is a purpose built backpackers hotel resort located in the city centre of Cairns, Far North Queensland, the stepping off point to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest.
Gilligan’s offers a blend of traditional backpacker accommodation (with a few added comforts) plus 4.5 star hotel rooms as well as an open air beer hall!
Gilligan's offers a variety of room types to suit the taste of all our guests. All rooms are air conditioned and all have ensuite bathrooms. Each floor has its own fully equipped kitchen, our own in house high speed internet facilities and a TV room for those well deserved lazy days. The 4, 6 & 8 Bed Dorms offer king-sized single beds (most have balconies). The en-suite bathrooms can be used three ways (doors separating the shower, toilet and vanity) so there's none of the difficulties regularly experienced with too few communal facilities. All Dorms are also available in FEMALE ONLY. For those seeking a bit more comfort and privacy, our hotel rooms come complete with your own Private balcony, bar fridge, TV, DVD, coffee/tea, hair-dryer, lounge and the list goes on... yet still carry a budget price tag with all the extras.
As a Gilligan's guest you can laze by the pool whilst sipping a cocktail, sample local cuisine, shop, browse over local produce markets, catch up with friends over the internet, or dance the night away - all without leaving this holiday haven.
